Maple
Syrup Making Demonstration
Using
“home style” methods, we will show you how to tap the trees, collect and
boil down the sap and make it table ready. You will learn everything you
need to know so you can make your own maple syrup at home.
The first half will
be in the nature center and the second will be outside and will conclude
with a tasting. The kids are advised to go to the bathroom beforehand
and to dress for the cold weather. The center has a little heat and
there is no running water and 1 port-a-john outside.
